Daily Sleep Duration Chart

The National Sleep Foundation made sleep duration recommendations for 9 age groups.Recommended sleep durations are as follows:- 14-17 hours for newborns, 12-15 hours for infants, 11-14 hours for toddlers, 10-13 hours for preschoolers, 9-11 hours for school-aged children, and 8-10 hours for teenagers. 7 to 9 hours is recommended for young adults and adults, and 7-8 hours of sleep is recommended for older adults.

Recommended Sleep for New Born Babies

New Born (0 to 3 Months)

Recommended Sleep: 14 to 17 Hours.



Recommended Sleep for Infants

Infant (4 to 11 Months)

Recommended Sleep: 12 to 15 Hours.



Recommended Sleep for Toddler

Toddler (1 to 2 Years)

Recommended Sleep: 11 to 14 Hours.



Recommended Sleep for Pre-School

Preschool (3 to 5 Years)

Recommended Sleep: 10 to 13 Hours.



Recommended Sleep for School Age

School Age (6 to 13 Years)

Recommended Sleep: 9 to 11 Hours.

Teenager (14 to 17 Years)

Recommended Sleep: 8 to 10 Hours.

Recommended Sleep: 7 to 9 Hours.

Recommended Sleep: 7 to 8 Hours.
